“No one is denied the opportunity to follow Jesus, but many choose to deny it for themselves, based on their own desires”
You guys always get this wrong. I do not deny Jesus for myself or for any such desires, I do not know where you hear all this crazy stuff.
I am an atheist by birth and I am still in this default state because I have weighed up the evidence, the known facts, the events, the history, the arguments, the stories, the superstitions, etc, etc.
I find nothing different only variations with many other religions past or present, you bicker amongst yourselves about the doctrine, you have thousands of denominations that make their own traditions and rules, you all have selective beliefs regarding scientific facts, most indoctrinate their children, some have various anti-social doctrines relating to sexual orientation and woman’s rights, some of you depend on God medically and not on professional help, some of you would watch your children die before denouncing your beliefs and therefore believe in human sacrifice, etc, etc.
Why would a sane person voluntarily subject themselves to all of that?

Yes. As stated. You have made a choice. You do in fact deny Jesus. Steve you just said you don’t deny Him then you gave me mostly false reasons as to why you do. You contradicted yourself in your own comment .
Don’t bother bloviating at me any more on this thread as I am done
Wishing you lack of peace as you flail impotently against the God wh o created you and may you come to your senses.

Amazing, Steve lays out the truth about how Christians behave and you damn him for it.
I think you may find your self in hot water with Jesus for your very uncharitable attitude.
In fact, methinks Hell beckons if you don’t mend your ways.

Ark. That’s the stupidest comment I have ever heard. It’s almost like Steve denying he rejects Jesus, then telling me all the reasons why he has. LOL. You don’t believe there is s Jesus for me to get in hot water with, you don’t believe in any of it.You berate me about a non-existent damnation of Steve, then damn me yourself. So, your thoughts about my status with Him are not only irrelevant, but they are idiotic.
I DON”T wish you peace, Ark. Get over it. I hope the Holy Spirit reaches out to you, pricks your heart, and brings you and Steve to your senses. The day you have peace with your decision is the day that hope is gone.
That’s all for you on this thread. Have a nice, but uncomfortable day.

Of course I don’t believe in the biblical character Jesus of Nazareth. That is simply a work of fiction.
But YOU believe, and the mind is a powerful tool.
Thus, to continue to wish such vile things on atheists such as Steve makes you a dreadful example of what the biblical character Jesus of Nazareth set out to be in the story.
And for such behaviour, His judgment will see you roasting your tootsies down below at the pleasure of Lucifer.
Tread carefully, my friend, for you know how fickle the Lord can be with such nastiness as you are displaying here.

Now, that was about the most entertaining exchange I’ve seen in awhile.

I just hope it’s done with, for a while at least.

Wally is a riot, is he not, Patrick? A veritable stand-up comedian.
