Well it’s Christmas, and turkey in on the menu. Most importantly, it’s a great chance to use the smoker I got for Christmas LAST year. It’s seriously big, and two turkeys hardly make a dent in the room. Two, because we have to have one for Christmas Eve supper, and one for the actual Christmas dinner on Monday.

If I hop in the car now I’ll make it by dinner tomorrow. That’s looks delicious. 🙂

It has been years since I cooked a turkey on my Weber. That was delicious. This years dinner comes with all the trimmings from a local grocery chain.

Well it worked out great and was quite tasty! This year was my rookie year as designated family turkey smoker.

Turkey was a hit. I was nervous. The turkey smoking mantle was passed to me this year, as the uncle who had done it for years could not any longer . Lol…waiting for him to have a bite was nerve wracking. I passed muster, though.

Glad they tasted as good as they looked, Wally! Merry Christmas! Hope you have a nice time today. Our atheist Air Force son went to church with us yesterday, which was a miracle.

That’s awesome,Tom! Maybe things will change. I also took a chance yesterday at the big family Supper. I think I have mentioned my lost uncle before. There are actually two but I had not gotten to him yet. Anyway, I sort of started a new family tradition, in that before our prayer we had a short devotional on Matthew where the angel tells Joseph his baby was to save us from our sins. We talked about what that meant exactly. Then both Uncles got it personally during the evening. One of the aunts is mad at me now. She says she knows the Lord, and I keep on here to get her lost husband in church. I think she is convicted over it, and it mad her mad. Oh well.

Thanks, Wally, That’s great to hear about your new “pushy” family tradition. Bringing people to their need of the Savior is often going to be “uncomfortable.” I prayed for your two uncles that they’ll soften their hearts and accept Christ.

Looks good Wally. We didn’t have turkey this year but ham and I smoked some chicken. We also had shrimp and grits, an LA favorite, and a bunch of sides.
Merry Christmas brother, hope you and yours had a wonderful day.
