Since many churches put the scripture on the screen, or not, I find it amazing, well not really, that people don’t bother to bring a Bible. I like to follow along in the reading with my Bible.

Well at our place no Bible means you don’t see them!

Wally, video screens with the appropriate Bible verses displayed is de rigueur at mega churches along with pastors in skinny jeans and swag hairdoos. Sheesh, how can anyone be expected to hold a Bible when they have a latte in one hand and a French cruller in the other?

They need a free hand to adjust their man bun lol

LOL! You should think about getting a man bun, Wally, so as your Sunday School class would think you are cutting edge. It would look ridiculous on me because I have little on top to pull into a bun.

I already suggested it, Tom; the dear wife said no.

I go to a small Bible-based church that meets in an elementary school. They still manage to put Bible verses up on a screen. They even have a small band that leads the congregation in song. Nevertheless, the pastor expects us to bring our Bibles. I suppose I should wonder why, but I don’t. It is a Bible-based church because the pastor takes the Bible seriously, and he wants to make certain we all have a Bible and know where it is.

I can rather respect that approach Tom. I like that guy

We do both as well… I would need chapter and verse to help understand why it is reflective of a man’s heart or the heart of the church…

How are the travels
August 14, 2017 at 01:43
Travel is going well I’ve been engaged in “smaller” ministries but the big thing of pastoral training would take place in abou 12 hours. Again thank you for asking

Many churches have Bibles in the pews, right next to the hymnals. 🙂

We have a few of those! Of course we still have hymnals too
