This used to frustrate me, now it just amuses me. 😉

Yep, I think Jim Carrey has the right idea. I used to entertain the haters, and wasted way too much time with it. They do it on purpose to divert Christian writers from their true purpose and goal.

Ha! Yep. A toast to Mel. 🙂
The other day I heard Jim Carrey preaching what sure sounded a whole lot like the gospel to a bunch of gang bangers. Made me smile.

Have been watching all of the comments at Mel’s place? He is a saint with those guys.

And this is one of the biggest reasons I have been avoiding the internet. Too much incivility.
Good post Wally 🙂

Hey James! Glad to see you are still alive and kicking. Yes, you are correct. I will be e mailing you late btw, got some news to share.

Can’t wait to hear about it

Ha…that’s right. Thanks Wally. I really appreciate that. I just let them talk and show how weak their argument is, that it’s really a worldview problem, not with God or the Bible. I don’t take their amateurish attacks personally, and I wanted to engage with some atheists for a project I’m doing anyway. I figured I would post the arguments on the blog, with the resources from scholars, for the benefit of other Christians who get bullied by these people. They can know that we stand on solid ground in more ways than one! 🙂
Blessings to you.

I was browsing memes like I do, and I thought of you the instant I saw that one. You are correct, they do like to bully believers. They piled on me for the first year I was blogging, no doubt hoping to drive me away. It didn’t work obviously, although it seems I am on some people’s minds a lot lol, as I keep coming up in the conversation. Good job with what you are doing over there, Mel, keep it up

Thanks! Yes, it’s funny how obsessed these people are at trying to fight against a God they don’t believe exists! Methinks the atheist doth protest too much. 🙂

As Socrates may or may not have said, “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” 🙂
Some seasoned debaters love it when their opponents resort to ad hominem attacks — that’s how they know they’ve won the argument on the merits.

That’s very true. I know of at least one who launches right into that whenever logical, reasoned push back happens. In fact, I am dealing with on now LOL.

I hear you! I used to get into long drawn-out arguments with some guy on FB whom I have never met (he was a friend of a friend), a guy who believed with all his heart that bigger, stronger, more powerful government was the answer to all our problems. I never once attacked him personally, partly because I don’t even know him, and partly because that’s not my style, but mostly because there was no need for it — his arguments were so weak and full of holes that I had my hands full just exposing their weakness. Inevitably he resorted to ad hominem attacks, calling me all kinds of horrible things… which might have really hurt my feelings if I had ever given a rat’s posterior what he thought of me. 🙂

Hey, now funny is that? I actually used the phrase “Happy rat’s hind end,” in the conversation I was having. Great minds think alike! Back in the day, I would have said it more crudely, though, if you follow me.
