Well, imagine that! To be honest, that is actually difficult to do when you regularly preach to a small congregation. The temptation is to assume too much. But, on the other hand, it’s important to avoid going off on some hell-fire-damnation tangent when everyone in attendance has publicly professed Jesus as Savior. One definitely needs to be listening to the Holy Spirit.

I am glad somebody chimed in here! I knew there could be some thought out there on this, so thanks bro Anthony. You made some excellent points. Assuming too much could very well end badly for someone, yet going to gangbusters in the wrong crowd could be off putting. I was curious to see if anybody made mention of it saying teachers and not preachers also.

This point is so true. Recently we had a guy just got saved in our church and he’s been going to our church for nearly a decade.
