The first time Jesus came for a crucifixion; the second time He will come for a Coronation
The first time Jesus came to be put on a tree; the second time He will come to be put on a Throne
The first time Jesus came, He stood before Pontius Pilate; the second time Pontius Pilate, and everyone else, will stand before Him.
From the Adrian Rogers sermon, “Standing on the Edge of Eternity.”

Praise Him. He is the Word. He was there since the beginning. Without Him nothing was made. Every knee will bow to His great Name.

Hi Robbye!
I really appreciate your thought and encouragement. I hope no offense is taken, as I normally don’t participate in awards. Not that I have any problem with them, I just don’t really have time to do them justice. But, it means a lot that you thought of me!

Wally, that is no problem at all. In fact, I’ve even thought about making my blog an awards free blog, too.
Have a great day!
Blessings~

Wally, yes, it will be so different for the Lord. The next time He will judge and rule with an iron rod.
At times we get things a little wrong. Here, I believe Adrian Rogers was off a little. It sounds good from the point of view of devotion but not of truth:
“The first time Jesus came to be put on a tree; the second time He will come to be put on a Throne”
But God’s Word says that the Lord is seated at the right hand of the majesty on high, seated with His Father on His Father’s throne in Heaven.
Hebrews 1
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Revelation 3:21
21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

That’s actually a good point there, Maria. In that sense he is certainly already on the Throne. Perhaps some context may help, because I believe specifically he was referring to the return of our Lord and his later Physical reign during his Millennial Kingdom. You do make a fair point though.
