I kid you not, sometimes our pastor is so wonderful I am sad when he is finished. A couple of us have considered calling him back, telling him he’s not finished yet, but there are others who just want to get home and they would probably kill us. 😉

I actually totally agree with what you just said IB. I actually get irritated at people who think the preacher is on a time limit. Remember Eutychus?

We’ll actually “cry out” when our Pastor say’s he’s about to finish up, “No!” and bless him, to encourage us all, he is true to his word, gives us a bit more, then “finishes it up”. We SO look forward to Sunday mornings!! Enjoyed your post!!

I’m glad you said that, Denise. I often get irritated when people treat the Pastor like he has a time limit, especially when there is so much more that could be said on something.

I’ve heard the helpers in the church nursery are the ones who really watch the clock.

Me too! Funny story…when I returned to the Lord I was so happy to hear preaching again I didn’t care if the pastor went 30 minutes over the regular time. I sat in a meeting and one of the deacons told the pastor he kept going past the prescribed time. I was offended for the pastor and said it was fine with me. That’s when the deacon turned to me and said he was speaking for the nursery workers.

LOL Tom, that is actually pretty funny. I don’t really mind at all if we run long. Heck last time I got to talk to the whole church I went on for an hour and 15 minutes LOL. So, I can’t really throw any rocks at the preacher.

This is where you know such preachers are also sinners like the rest of…for they can lie in the pulpit
