there is so much truth in this Wally—my bibles seem to be from various times in my life—the college bible which is crammed full of cards, notes, letters etc, the young married bible that is more sparse, the high school bible that has a broken spine and is held together by a rotting rubber band—it’s amazing really because these Holy books become snippets of our various walks in our faith throughout our lives…mirroring our up and downs our trials and our joys…sounds like a post in there somewhere….

That would make a great post! Did you know, Julie, that while I have numerous Bibles, I have only ever had one really. I never even owned one until I was saved, and I have had it and carried it since. I actually had to have it rebound once already, which is way more money than just buying a new one. But, all the notes, and scribbles, and things I have taped inside…priceless

that’s great Wally—mine from high school was paperback and did make the journey to college but didn’t make the long haul—so I’ve had numerous and numerous translations–plus those I’ve been gifted with over the years…
I finally got a hard back that I tucked into a leather zipping cover—and it too is jam packed with memorabilia!

They can be very special huh? I don’t actually use a case, I just carry stuff loose.

I needed to zip up all the stuff so nothing fell out—plus it was another one of those gifts 🙂
