This is true. And yet, when we approach worship in a God-centered manner, he always gives us more than we can ever give to him. J.

I am so glad you added that. I was hoping somebody would
I agree totally

Which means it really is of little consequence how I “feel” during worship.

That’s interesting what you said. A lot of people I know would say that if you feel anything during worship, then you have gone insanely charismatic LOL. I personally think we ought to feel a lot. And if we are feeling love, and praise, and honor and glory for God, I suspect our own feeling will be rather rewarding to us as well.
But if our source is from the wrong way and what we are looking for is to feel good., then our feelings ARE about us, and not Him.

Interesting, since I come from the charismatic side of the pool, and walk away frequently without necessarily any wildly amazing “feelings”, so I need to be careful not to focus on that instead of on Him. Good to hear your side of it!

I agree, I don’t always feel anything particularly special either.
This is funny, though, you being charismatic…and me so non charismatic I am sometimes mistaken to dead LOL. Seriously, we don’t DO feelings.
So, this whole conversation is a little ironic really. Patrick keep tying to tell me I am a closet charismatic LOL.

I do so LOVE God’s sense of humor as to where He chooses to put His people within His body!!!
