Exactly! I am curious what your response is to this question: What did you bring back spiritually from your trip?
March 11, 2017 at 12:21
That is a very excellent question, Elizabeth, and I am glad you asked it! I think in some ways before the trip, the Bible was just stories with no real frame of reference. Walking the places where real people did real thing…brought them to life in ways all the reading in the world never could have. It certainly reinforced my confidence in the truth of God’s Word.

That’s the same way I felt, and still feel, from when I went. Even today, years later, the Bible is more than “words.” I read and the memories of walking where I’m reading about brings a whole lot more meaning. Sorry, I didn’t mean to butt into your conversation. 🙂 Well, I guess I did since I wrote it. ha ha

Well first of all Sue you are more than welcome to jump in this conversation! Last time i checked this is an open forum to all.
That is it exactly though. It was just words in many ways and now i can see the words as actual people and events.

Lol, Sue! I didn’t think you were butting in! What a blessed opportunity you both have had!

Thank you. If you’ve never been, that has to be #1 on a bucket list. It really does change your whole perspective.

Purrfect- what good is it to know the truth if it doesn’t guide every aspect of our lives!?

I’m a firefighter. I can read books all day about different techniques to extinguish a fire but unless I pick up a charged line and put the wet stuff on the red stuff, I’m just a book reader. The same applies with the Gospel. Welcome back by the way… IB misbehaved while you were gone.

And yes she did. Lol. I managed to get right in the middle. Apparently my salvation has been revoked
