Great analogy brother and it brings back memories. When I was a little guy, if one of my crayons broke I was completely done with it. Into the trash it went. I grew up looking at a lot of things in life that way. But then I learn God uses all kinds of broken, throwaway stuff, including myself! In fact, we MUST be broken in order to be able to give up on our own efforts and accept Christ.
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. ” – Psalm 51:17

Amen! But let the Great Potter melt you down and make a whole new color, it’s much more fun. 🙂

Good thing you didn’t grow up to be in charge of our destinies then, Tom!
Amen that God is more forgiving then most of us would be huh?

Somebody commented that God can melt the broken ones down and make a new color. I liked that.
