Yep..if we really thought through the long term consequences we might just behave differently, James.

I think that’s true

“Not offending people right into hell” is a real thing. Witnessing is the most loving thing we can do.

Amen Brandon…I hear it all of the time. We don’t have to be pushy jerks, but we need to say it.

With words. Not just actions.
February 4, 2017 at 14:56
Ha, again we see eye to eye on this. Yes, with words. Open mouth and speak. Even if we show Jesus all day long by our lives, people won’t come to salvation that way. They might imitate us, but that will never save them. We have to get it.

Hello, what are we talking about?…. kidding, hello, you’re a good man.

There is a simple way to eliminate the risk of giving offense when one has an opportunity to share the Gospel.
Tell them straight out. I am a Christian. I have a different perspective on this. Would you be offended if I shared it with you?
You’d be surprised if how many are actually willing to listen. And those who really don’t want to will tell you straight up.
I think it’s just the respectful thing to do.
February 4, 2017 at 19:56
You know…that’s a very true thing you just said. Many more people than you would think are willing to actually listen and have a dialogue. Unlike the blog world, most non believers aren’t out to destroy Christianity.
And…those who say pass? Well, they can pass and I will certainly let them pass on the conversation in peace. I will still keep in touch on the issue, just in case they change their mind, though!

Wally, I can think of a number of times that someone who initially declined to hear what I had to say, later came and prompted a conversation about it.

I can now also, now that you mention it Anita. It never really occurred to me until you said it, but you are exactly right. Of course, I am still a fan of just hurling it out there full force if the occasion warrants it! You know, just Sunday at church I was looking around and commenting on how some of the people who were there we first made contact with years ago and some of them pretty much said that we would not likely be seeing them around anytime soon. They were correct; it was NOT soon LOL. It took years. You have really encouraged me with what you have said here, thanks so much.
