Repentance is the means whereby we obtain forgiveness. Then we change our ways.

That can be an interesting conversation the whole relationship between all of that huh?

Absolutely true! I have people argue with me all the time because I say, “Sin is sin!” There seems to be the idea that there are “little” sins and God overlooks those. NOT! When I say stealing a loaf of bread is sin and murder is sin, I get the “yeah but….” You’re absolutely right, Wally. SIN IS SIN! Regardless of how “big” or how “small.” All need God’s forgiveness.

Nope they all separate us from God
At the same time though some sins tend to magnify into other sin. Also some categories of sin tend to be not repented of as readily and held onto more fiercely

Wally, Praise God that He, in His kindness, brings us as His children to repentance. Otherwise, I would still be lost in my sin. Blessings for the day. ~ Fran

And blessings to you!

Too many people these days deny that they sin and thumb their noses at God. It’s impossible to repent unless we first admit that we did something wrong.

Just so you know, that thought actually came about from a conversation you had with another blogger at my place.
It just took a bit to percolate.

Can’t remember the conversation but I am inspired by people all the time

Sometimes the most dangerous sins are respectable sins, the ones we think everyone does and society says its no big deal..because we don’t repent from it.

I agree so totally with what you just said. I think of the rampant epidemic of divorce even among Christians. And certainly not judging that one, being one myself. But now we treat it as just something that happens in life, so big deal.

Yeah that’s a good point
