While I understand the sentiment, it is slightly misleading, not in the sense of being incorrect, but incomplete. We have the privilege, as Christians, when we die to enter the presence of God in Heaven. Yet scripture tells us that one day God Himself will dwell with man on the New Earth, the New Jerusalem will descend out of Heaven to Earth, the new capitol city unlike any this world has ever seen. Our new home. I suppose if you define Heaven as Gods dwelling place, then Heaven will be on the New Earth. Perhaps there are features there that wont be repeated on the New Earth that are in Heaven now, but it would no longer be Heaven without the Lord, for He alone gives meaning to all.
In response to ambassadorslog…”Heaven is my home but earth is my workshop.” The new heaven on earth will be God, the Master Carpenter, repairing the mess we made because we did not follow the directions on the instruction manual.

I like that! For some crazy reason that gives me a sense of comfort. My time spent in the “workshop” will come to an end and I’ll get the needed rest.
