Are we broken over a lost and dying world? If not, we should be.
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
Friends, this proverb reflects the sense of helplessness in the early fall. The harvest was meager and the oppression persisted. Jeremiah was hurt – this translates a Hebrew word derived from the verb meaning “to break,” “to shatter”; in other words, the prophet’s spirit was broken over the fate of his people.
Are you broken over the fate of our people, family members, spouse, and others that are not saved?
1. Is there something in your life right now that you know God is calling you to do?
2. Is God calling you to witness to someone?
3. Is God calling you to stop sinning in a certain area of your life?
4. Are you being obedient?
