Very important truth. If Jesus, whom is God tells you to follow Him, you better follow Him!

Ha, now that’s a very clear way of looking at it. Nice to see you not in spam by the way.

Thanks. It’s finally resolved. Speaking of Jesus being God, are you ever going to get to that re-post? You’ve been pummeling my notifications with posts lately, LOL.

James study? I think I missed it, LOL. As for Zacchaeus, this is the first time I’ve ever been referenced to him, looks like I completely forgot about him going through Luke’s Gospels. I had to search him up. I’ll definitely be waiting.

It’s my morning posts right now, entitled Faith in Action LOL.
Yeah, Zacchaeus is a great study. I have gleaned some great stuff.

Amen. I believe this in I read the bible by the way. I see the bible kind of like John the Baptist. Pointing to the savior, but not the savior itself. Only Jesus can save.

I really appreciate this and have been sort of mulling it over. I am a doctrine kind of guy, absolutely I am. I believe every Word God said in his Book. I believe some things are correct and some are not. I believe some day we will account for whether what we believed was right or not.
But, you are very correct in what you say. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our doctrine that we believe it saves us.
Thanks and well said on that.

Still the inerrant and true word of God. Yet helps us to see in a different light.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a [book] sent from God, whose name was [the bible]. [The bible] came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through [it]. [It] was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. ([The bible] bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.'”) For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.”
John 1:1-18 ESV
Works pretty well. Interesting exercise I think.
That was really cool! Did you come up with that?

No sir. Heard it in a podcast of a sermon by pastor Brian Zahnd. But is really powerful and profound I think.
