Okay, I confess. Some of those trials are really hard to consider joyfully but you’re right, they do end……….eventually. 🙂
I think you hit something really big there, and I want to touch on it. The truth is, some trials never really end at all. But if when come to terms with them as what is ordained to be, then they in effect still end. As you said, I must confess that is a developing skill for me as well though. How is the hip today?

Hi Wally: To be honest I think the entire Christian walk is a trial. We either win by finishing the race or fall flat. The hip is sore today but by my own fault. I got brave and drove for the first time today. (14 miles r.t.) Some moist heat has helped but Physical therapy will be here today. Ouch. ha ha Thanks for asking.

Faith, steadfastness, maturity. These are the goals, while we may wish for it to be over, this usually doesn’t accompany pure joy. 🤔

There is a part of us, and insidious evil, doesn’t like things hard, loves to pamper itself. It likes to enjoy the good things and assert itself. We know it as the flesh. That is the part that loathes trials and tribulations. It’s good to recognize your enemies.
