“Weak teaching” makes me wonder if it is accurate teaching.

That would certainly be a valid question, Sue! Thanks

hmmm….I’ve got mixed emotions about this one. Doth the one who declares thy teachings to be weak himself teach wrongly? Sorry, I was in King James mode.

However…I’m picking up what you are putting down. If I know my teaching is weak, I cannot expect to produce strong believers

You kinda lost me on that one Patrick, you are gonna have to flesh it out some for this slow old man.

I’ve seen watered down often over my years. Newer (and maybe older to) believers don’t know it’s watered down, unfortunately. Maybe they are asleep still. But to me it’s the same as lukewarmness. Thanks for the thought Wally.

Well if they have been hearing it for years they would not even know
Good point thanks

So true Wally.

lol…Let me go back to my country roots. All I’m saying is that I agree with you concerning what I’m teaching. If I’m teaching others, the strength of what I teach will most like determine the strength of the student.
However, I’m not going to take everyone’s opinion as to whether my teaching is weak or not because their teaching may be totally wrong.

So wally, what of all the Christian denominations that teach differently from each other, yet use the same bible to support their ‘strong’ teaching?
Example: OSAS vs AOG teaching that you can apostasize?
Who is the final arbiter between ‘weak’ and strong teaching when some churches can’t even agree on what english version of the Bible to use? (KJV or those ‘corrupted’ Wescott and Hort bibles)
Honest question from a former AOG KJV only dude, with Catholic upbringing.

I believe it’s all about the right doctrine we preach.

indoctrination techniques I think you mean Mary.

I agree Mary, the message of the Gospel must be central, and never watered down.
