I work….a lot. The business I am in is very much in demand. People want what they want, and they want it now!
One of the reasons I work so much is that my boss, our manager, also needs days off. So, I cover him on his days off. Pretty much for the last year I have worked 6 day work weeks. What we do is quite demanding, and there is a constant focus on faster, better, money, money! Which cool, as capitalism and I are good buddies. Nothing quite like a good profit making machine to make the world go around.
Any way…seems my boss is transferring..so I have to be him for some undermined time until a permanent arrangement is made. The permanent arrangement may very well be me, but that is not for sure, but likely.
The point here is this: My boss has me
I don’t have a me. I have to be him…and me…for a while. Until I pick a me so I can just be him. Which is me.
Got all that?
Hopefully in the midst of all of this I will come up for air now and then!

Hey…I used to work for DISH…lol. First world problems, they can be more than demanding. In you being your boss and needing a you, I will pray for strength beyond measure and a sound mind and a you to take the place of you while you are not you anymore. You totally got this tho…you are he who can do all things and be two people because He who gives all strength is your strength!

Now you are the boss of yourself. You can do whatever you want, I think. I’m sure you’re appreciated by many. Be kind to yourself. 🙂

Work may be good for the soul Wally, but you need to come up for air. Regularly.

We all do, don’t we David? I will eventually, just not for a while! From what I read, you know a bit about hard work yourself. Thanks David for reading and commenting.

Yes. I spend a lot of time on the road. And being self-employed there is no paid vacation, sick leave or any other kind of leave! But there is a certain flexibility that I would not have if I was in paid employment. We had a night away with friends last weekend and went to a Christian concert. I guess that was coming up for air!

I know what you mean when you said, are we really our own boss. When I was administrator before retired. The clerk just clocked out when her day was over. For timely tasks, I had to finish her job before I could go home. That’s when people say, you get paid for the responsibility not for the job!!

So what you’re saying is that you would like us to pray for some more rain like before? Maybe a blizzard nicely situated between Thanksgiving and Christmas? UGH! Heather needs to kidnap you and take you away for a weekend!
