Sounds like my post. A friend through words but not with action is like allowing your enemy to lead you into a trap.

Amen, Wally. The same is true of those who would ask you to give up your faith or “tone it down,” or whatever.
Today we had a visiting pastor speaking of the prodigal son. He talked about how the guy took his money and engaged in his “riotous living”…..and he probably had so, so many friends because sin just loves it’s own company. That got me because unfortunately it’s often true. When the prodigal son returns home, he returns alone.

Wow..that’s so true IB. Ever had anybody tell it, even another believer, that you don’t need to get so “serious” about it?
That kind of hurts.

I know, right? Rejection is painful stuff. I have had a heck of a time myself, but it’s kids I worry about the most. Their social groups can be everything to them.

That’s far deeper than you may have thought IB.
There are sort of two schools on youth ministry.
One says entertain them to death, because at least they are there. That’s no good.
The other says don’t dare have fun, just preach the Word. Better, but still not quite there.
We are trying to do just as we do with adults. Good, solid teaching while surrounded by people who are pretty much your circle.
