I could tell you stories of what I gave up and family members and relationships ditched for the work of the gospel. Have you ever left your grandmother in an airport so you wouldn’t be late for a street meeting?
Wally, you seem like a nice guy, probably, in real life… but yiu have no idea what you’re saying or the impact of what you are trying to encourage others to do.

Hey Mike thanks for coming by. All I am going to say is one thing, and it’s true and it’s from the heart.
I hate that things didn’t work out for you in a way that gave you joy, and I truly wish they would have been different.

It worked out exactly as it should as a disciple Follower of Christ. My prayer is that you learn before others in your family are as affected by your Faith as mine have been

Look, I meant what I said truly and from my heart. But, your statement that how your life is how the life of any believer will go is simply not true.
Your experience is not indicative of all persons, in all times. And for you to say that is really not being truthful.
And who do you pray to, Mike? I think when you say things like you pray for me you mislead readers into thinking you actually believe, when you don’t.
So, how’s about you not do this? I said something that I meant, and I still do. Let’s not turn this into your pulpit ok?
Because I really am trying not to moderate, but at the same time, this is not your forum for unbelief.
So, how about you just take what I said about how I hate how things worked out for you at face value?

It is absolutely, yessir.
On the other hand, I actually do see so many that are “busy” for Jesus in a desperate attempt to work themselves into God’s grace, only to find out that is not possible and leaving a trail of ruination.
When all God really wants is to take the rest that He offers in Jesus, and do the works He desires us to do, and not the ones we thing we have to do to save us.
His burden is light and His yoke is easy eh?

The burden can be light and easy but I stay busy because I love doing God’s work.
August 28, 2016 at 15:52
Well, that makes the burden light, when we love it huh?

It does to me.

Hey Wally I’m going to add also doing Gods work as we call it can be our distraction. I had many jobs in our church and was so caught up at one point in Gods work that I wasn’t doing a good Job. So I agree with you but I have learned doing Gods work shouldn’t pull us from our responsibility to others. Also to keep God all around me in some form or fashion is the only way I can do what I do now for God. Hey just my 3 cents.

I agree 100 percent, Israel. Just because we think it is God’s work doesn’t mean it is. Nice 3 cents

That was a nice and polite response to Mike. 🙂

Most welcome and truly things go in a circle
It was some concerns my preacher expressed in his Sermon that prompted the thought
