1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 8:8
Food will not make us acceptable to God. We are not inferior if we don’t eat, and we are not better if we do eat.
Regardless if its a doughnut or a burger, lets give thanks to the Lord that we can eat whatever He has set before us.
The health and wellness doctrine comes from New Age that’s creeping into the churches and thinking that eating “healthy” per say well get someone closer to God which is false doctrine. Whatever food you eat give God the glory in Jesus name.

Well your theology is spot on. On the other hand we can watch what we eat and not be new agers so all health and wellness is far from bad

Logic plays a big role in what we eat everyday. common sense clearly tells a person eating doughnuts everyday might not be too wise…lol but at the same time it won’t kill you if you eat it once in a while. We as Christians must exercise the wisdom given to us by the Lord. Health and wellness must be an secondary concern to the health and wellness of our spiritual walk with the Lord.

Agreed! And don’t get the wrong idea lol….i eat whatever I want

I have a Christian friend that’s taken by the health and wellness doctrine. He doesn’t eat pork, hotdogs or any process foods. He was trying to make me jump into his wagon but I said, “Whatcha talkin bout”, no way Jose.

Asking God to bless “To the nourishment of our bodies,” foods that we know is killing us, is like asking God to protect us as we play with milk bottles and razor blades in the middle of a busy street.
Now, don’t get me wrong and think that I’m a big health nut. I am a huge fan of Blue Bell MOOOOOlinium Crunch and most any other ice cream for that matter. I just know better than to believe God will bless my poor decisions. I am, however, quick to give thanks for that ice cream though…. 🙂

That’s a great point, Patrick. I, also, would never throw stones about bad habits. But, as you said, our Lord won’t protect us from our own bad choices.
Have a great day my friend.
LOL! So true,Wally.
The Babylon Bee must have been thinking of you the other day:

That’s awesome. I thought coffee and donuts might have had something to do with it but casserole makes sense.
