Funny thing, Bob and I were just talking along these lines this morning. We’re not quite there yet…as one person said, worry is just another form of meditation, just the wrong kind.
It takes time like any thing God wants us to be better at. Oddly, this is actually one thing I have not needed much training on, as I have never been a worrier for the most part. My pragmatism has always quelled that. Either I fix it or ignore it.
Well…let me tell ya LOL. Last night we prayed for our pastor to be healed of some things he is suffering. All the standard..if it by thy will…stuff. I suggested we say thanks for the healing to come. Ha…that got a sideways look for a person or two!
lol…get used to those sideways looks. But, those who are looking at you odd will probably be the ones wanting you to pray for them when they get down. They will see an expectation in you…
My pastor and I rode together and back from church camp this year, so had almost 5 hours of just us time. We had some interesting conversation regarding the current work of the Holy Spirit. It was interesting. We are still who we are, but…let’s just say we are both concerned about undue hindrance of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our churches.
Wouldn’t it be totally glorifying of God if we were all there by now. [Haven’t arrived, but praise God, I’ve already left].
It’s definitely inspirational. Thank you.
