but by all means, wally. make it to the building or you don’t really love God, you love yourself and your favorite past times. this is one of the things I was trying to get thru when I posted my response to that other pastor’s article slamming people for skipping church.

You have an issue with this post?
July 3, 2015 at 13:15
I find myself curious why you have an issue with every single thing I post
July 3, 2015 at 13:29
I was saying that I have no problem with the post. I agree with it. but it is counter to what you said when you reblogged that one pastor’s post about skipping church. understand now what I was saying?
July 3, 2015 at 13:33
Mike this post is not counter to that one and I am not saying in it that service in a local church is not important. It is.

Now that’s funny!

I heard Dr. Mike S Heiser say wouldn’t be great if church didn’t have a place or time.

All the time would be nice

Some day that will come to fruition!

joke, james. joke. and you once asked me not to reference you by name on other blogs. I’d appreciate the same. have a great day and a great 4th. -mike
Oh please Mike. Here is the deal. Don’t start none won’t be none. Don’t come in the kitchen if you can’t take the heat. You waded in here taking shots not me and did the same to James with your drinking comment. Don’t pull out your victim card. You take some critical shot at almost everything I write. And. The funny thing is the atheists are better at it than you. Although it is getting hard to tell the difference

I was referring to a joke I had made on james’ blog. it was light hearted.

I know what you were referring to Mike, I saw it.

Oh, amen Wally! Church is not a building, indeed. It is a body of believers, sometimes meeting in the basements of burned out buildings during war time. Church is more too, it’s the Body of Christ Himself, so it isn’t simply a collection of believers, it’s even greater than that idea. “Committed to Christ and to each other,” I like that. That is when you can really start to see evidence of Him in action. It really helps us to build that relationship with Him that we need so badly.

Bingo IB. You always take my few little random thoughts and fill them out exactly the way I meant them. That really means a lot and I so value your comments because of that. Sadly some have taken this to mean that I don’t think service in a local church matters. I certainly do not think that as I consider it vital to the Christian life. That is my church by the way right after we built our new building. Now that story may have to become a post someday. Thanks IB

It may sometime in the future our Church may longer come together in a building? True the building is not the Church we the children of Christ are. Blessings Wally!
July 3, 2015 at 21:52
Heya James, hope things find you well. Someday, I suppose, the church will all be together in Heaven huh? Until then, though, I hope we keep meeting together for worship and service. I don’t ever want to minimize how important I think the local church is.

Oh Wally I hope my words were not mis-leading, in no way I am saying anything against the gathering of the local Church. In fact my whole heart is for us to be of One Accord.
July 3, 2015 at 22:04
Oh no, brother, that wasn’t for you LOL.It was really just a general statement. I never thought you were saying anything negative about church. I’m sorry if I mispoke. One accord, I have always liked that.
